About One Goal Sports
Have you ever thought that youth sports could be offered in a way that teaches the fundamentals of sport as well as focus on the child in a deeply personal way? We put just as much time and energy into developing our participants personally as we do developing athletic skill and ability. With minimal focus on winning and losing a new vision is shared by our staff, volunteer coaches, parents and our participants. One Goal Sports is in the business of “life change” for everyone involved!
Our Mission: One Goal Sports exists to show God’s love in such a way that lives are physically, spiritually and socially strengthened with the power of Jesus Christ through youth sports programming.
Community Driven: We understand that One Goal Sports could not exist without the communities in which we operate. It takes participation of the families, schools, churches and businesses in those communities to help us successfully fulfill our mission. Our desire is to have everyone working together for the common good of enriching the communities in which we live through the power of positive environments and Christ-centered programs.
Sports Programming: Though we are seriously focused on enriching the interpersonal lives of our participants, we also desire to provide sports programming developed and delivered in excellence. Currently our programs include soccer, basketball, flag football and cheerleading, however, as we continue to grow and gain support, we hope to offer alternative sports, clinics and camps, as well.
Families: Our programs do not exist for the children only; rather, they exist as an opportunity to bring parents and children together. Because we are community driven, families are an equal part of the equation for success. We offer various avenues for parental involvement including but not limited to coaching, team parents, and team assistant. However, we understand that time is precious and sometimes constraining; prayer partners, consistent encouragers and financial donors are not to be underappreciated. Each type of support is needed and welcomed no matter the capacity.
Fun: Nothing could be more important than creating an environment filled with fun for our children. With that in mind, we place minimal importance on winning and losing and high importance on putting the fun back into recreational athletics. Our game days are geared toward making each individual feel like a winner and an integral part of his/her team.
Christ-centered Environment: We do not require each of our participants to believe in or implement our standards for a Christ-centered environment; however, we commit to providing that environment for you at every One Goal event that you attend. Our “One Goal” is to provide a resting place for you and your family that not only will communicate a relationship with Christ but encourage a lifestyle of godliness as well.
