Our History
Fall 1997 
One Goal Sports was started in the fall of 1997 under the direction of Aaron Coe and the Alpha Omega Collegiate Ministry of Belle Aire Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN. Steve Turner, the the collegiate minister of Belle Aire, had desired for there to be an alternative sports league in the city and he felt that the college students under his direction could provide leadership for such a league. One Goal began that fall with a basketball league for 6,7 and 8 year old's. There were 6 teams in that initial league that played and practiced each week at Murfreesboro's First Baptist Church.
Spring 1998
In the spring of 1998 One Goal added a soccer league followed by t-ball league and a basketball camp in the summer. In the fall of 1998 the basketball league had more than doubled in participation and added different age groups. Chad High was hired as and additional staff member during that time to assist with the growing demand.
Fall 1999
In the fall of 1999 Trevor Atwood was hired as the full-time executive director of One Goal Sports. Trevor was assisted by Lance Warren. Under Lance and Trevor's leadership One Goal continued to grow and thrive adding new leagues and camps.
Summer 2001
In the summer of 2001 Aaron Coe was hired by North Star Church in Kennesaw, Georgia. One of the reasons he was hired was so that he would start a division of One Goal in the North Atlanta region. By the spring of 2002 One Goal Sports Atlanta had been launched with a soccer league. One Goal Atlanta news sports by offering flag football and cheer-leading. Early in 2003 Brandon Bowen was hired to be the first full-time director in Atlanta.
