Is Shared And Demonstrated!

We hope that each of you who participate in One Goal Sports will be richly blessed in the way your child or children receives coaching instruction.  Although a few of our coaches are parents who have little to no knowledge coaching in a given sport, with a very little training, instruction, and planning it is amazing to see what they are able to teach these youngsters on the field and on the court.

3 Ways Our Mission Is Accomplished:

1.)Providing Fundamental Sports' Experiences - We accomplish this objective by training and equipping our coaches to emphasize the fundamental skills necessary for sport development.  We also offer an array of camps and clinics for coaches and players.

2.)Providing such experiences where the love of Christ is SHARED - Throughout the season our coaches are encouraged to share a brief weekly Bible devotional with the team and challenge the players to memorize a specific verse that corresponds with the devotional.

3.)Provide such experiences where the love of Christ is DEMONSTRATED - Without a doubt, this is the most difficult of the three.  In an age where sports not only permeates but occupies so much of a family and individual's time in Western society, we often lose or have never properly understood sports in its appropriate place.  It is our mission to teach that even within a Christ-centered organization such as One Goal Sports, the competitive drive to win and ever improve should not diminish.  The difference is how we teach and respond through adversity.  There is nothing wrong with losing, nor is there anything wrong with winning so long as personal integrity is not compromised. 

Keeping or tracking the score of a game never has been and never will be the enemy. The Apostle Paul says that the enemy is a spiritual battle that is not seen with the eyes.  As parents, coaches, and mentors, we must seek to teach our children and ourselves how to properly respond to winning, losing, injuries, personality clashes, correction, and rebukes.  This among other things is what separates One Goal Sports from the rest of the pack.
